The Berserker
Overview Character strategy page originally posted on MagicRealm.netBerserker is a powerful warrior, adept at both solo and team play. He excels at combat, but is weak in most other areas, so he needs to find the action and stay there or partner up.
Berserker can handle any monster in the game, but he tires easily. Also, since he has little armor, he takes a lot of wounds. He will spend a lot of time resting, so he needs to be careful in areas populated with large numbers of creatures.
Berserker is the perfect brick for any party. His awesome damage potential and speed, combined with allied characters, can clear whole tiles in a single melee. He has a Tremendous move chit, so is valuable in that regard as well. In return, Berserker has some protection while resting, though he can slow down a group if he gets too tired or damaged.
Against the big monsters, or larger groups, play your Berserk chit right away. Otherwise, save it in case you get attacked while resting.
Because he must rest often, Berserker has fewer days to explore and travel. This means he has a shorter range, and fewer options if his nearby tiles are barren.
If possible, team up with one or more characters (not Dwarf or White Knight); Swordsman and Witch are good choices. If you go solo, hope to find one of the big treasure sites, and stay there most of the game. If possible, try to acquire some additional armor pieces. Comments...add your comment here... |
